Osmocote 18-6-12 (8-9M) is an excellent controlled-release fertilizer that helps keep plants healthy. Contains the right amount of nitrogen, phosphate, and soluble potash, providing all the major nutrients that a plant needs. It is ideal to provides a starter boost of nutrition early in the growing cycle, excellent as a base feed for orchids.

The Osmocote 18-6-12 (8-9M) is proven and tested to be homogenous. It is reliable in delivering consistent nutrition over time. Features a granular formula that is easy and convenient to apply on plants. It allows the even and uniform distribution of the nutrients throughout the area being treated. May also be used in landscape beds and soil containing flower.

This fertilizer uses a coating made from natural plant resins, making it more effective. For best results, it is highly recommended to use this product in combination with our weekly and monthly recommended fertlizers.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

For orchids potted plants, apply uniformly to the soil surface using the following amounts:

4 inch pot - 1/4 teaspoonful

5 inch pot-  1/2 teaspoonful

6 inch pot - 3/4 teaspoonful

8 inch pot - 1 teaspoonful

10 inch pot - 2 teaspoonfuls

If plants are being started from seed, propagated or are very young when planted, or seedlings use 1/4 to 1/2 the rates given above.

Just put the osmocote fertilizer directly into the orchid media while transplanting your orchid or put the osmocote and/or basket at the edge of the pot in the front of the orchid (where new growths will be developed), then with every watering the fertilizer will dissolve the nutrients into the plants; with so any holes in the bottom and side of these baskets, the fertilizer will permeate into the media gradually, which won't burn the plants roots easily.
