#1 BASE FERTILIZER - Every 8 to 9 months

Long-Lasting Controlled Release Fertilizer 18-6-12 - Feeds plants at a constant rate for 8 to 9 months.
Osmocote 18-6-12 (8-9M) is an excellent controlled-release fertilizer that helps keep plants healthy. Contains the right amount of nitrogen, phosphate, and soluble potash, providing all the major nutrients that a plant needs. It is ideal to provide a starter boost of nutrition early in the growing cycle, excellent as a base feed for orchids.

#2 ADDITIVES - AMINOS - Monthly

Regardless of the species or variety, orchids need certain vitamin elements, amino acids and other micro elements for the constitution of their tissues, among which is the Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium. This product​ ​is a premium blend of amino acids, proteins, and carbohydrates derived from high quality ingredients such as Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Seaweed Extract, Red Algae Extract, Calcium Carbonate, Calcium Oxide, and more! Aminos can be used throughout the entire life cycle of your plants​, however​ is particularly beneficial in the early stages of plant growth.

#4 MSU FERTILIZER - Weekly or BiWeekly

This RO Water Special or 13-3-15, was designed for a pure water source like rainwater or reverse-osmosis (RO) purified water or water that has been treated for city use such as tap water. Due to the extreme variability of well-water mineral content, the RO Water Special formula is the preferred choice for the home grower. This is a terrific fertilizer developed at Michigan State University specifically for orchids. This version is formulated especially for those using Rain water, Reverse Osmosis water, or similar purified, low nutrient water source. The MSU fertilizers are formulated primarily with Nitrogen in Nitrate form for efficient plant utilization. (Ammoniacal Nitrogen is very difficult for orchids to assimilate). This fertilizer contains all the micronutrients and trace elements that orchids need.

#5 Kelp Meal - Monthly

Kelp Meal is made with the North Atlantic Seaweed (Kelp) Ascophyllum Nodosum, which is widely recognized as one of the finest marine plants available for agriculture today. Kelp Meal is a natural and cost effective enhancement to any soil fertilization and conditioning program.
